Exploration

Both Geotechnologya licenses, Shanuch and Kvinum are highly prospective with dozens of separate nickel mineralization locations. World class geoscience practices are being used to increase the detectability and improve the quality of nickel targeting. This includes using both imported and Russian state-of-the art equipment and methods, in partnership with our local geoscientists, expert consultants, and external specialist contractors.

Our routine drillhole surveys use probes that can detect deep bodies far below the surface, down to hundreds of meters from the drillhole. Geotechnologya routinely uses low flying drones that carry new sensor technology for geological and structural mapping, to survey the entire license area.

By employing new technologies such as these, and by adapting them to the unique Kamchatka environment, Geotechnologya has been able to accurately discover new deposits and efficiently drill and develop new nickel resources in a challenging environment. As the technology and our understanding improves, we strive to leverage and apply this to our exploration programs.

Shanuch

The Shanuch nickel-copper deposits are a series of massive through disseminated sulphide ore bodies hosted by the Shanuch magmatic system within the late Cretaceous to early Eocene Dukuk gabbro-peridotite Complex. The Shanuch nickel camp is located within greenschist- to amphibolite-facies volcanosedimentary rocks of the Malkinskaya Series north of the Sredinny Massif. The host rocks to the Shanuch deposits comprise a series of nominally late Cretaceous granitoid complexes. Current activities include resource definition at the mine and ongoing exploration across the property. The brownfields exploration potential within the Shanuch license area is extremely high, with numerous highly prospective occurrences and geophysical and geochemical targets distributed across the 85 km2 license area.

Kvinum

The large (640 km2) Kvinum Nickel license area, located some 400 km south of the Shanuch license area, is in the nascent stages of discovery and resource definition. Dozens of Ni-Cu occurrences have been identified, and significant Ni-Cu sulphide drill intercepts continue to be returned from key prospects.  Resource drilling has also begun. Geotechnologya expects to greatly expand the scope of discovery and resource definition in this nickel camp over the coming seasons.
